Cleaner/Room Attendant

Sure Staffing Ltd are currently seeking temporary ongoing room attendants for our client based in Willerby, near Hull to start with immediate effect following a full induction into the business. You will be working within the housekeeping department within the Hotel industry.

Job Role

Working as part of the housekeeping team to provide a clean and pristine environment ensuring brand standards are delivered consistently for internal and external customers across the Hotel, whilst maintaining safe working practices
The Room Attendant will be accountable for the following (not exhaustive list):

  • Always be prepared and ready to create a welcoming and positive impression for guests on a consistent basis.
  • Undertake service elements in line with the Company and brand standards
  • Actively seek and accept guest feedback, taking the necessary actions to improve service / action feedback where applicable
  • Handle initial customer issues / concerns, taking ownership of the necessary actions or escalating to senior colleagues where necessary
  • Ensure all guests needs, requests and requirements are delivered in a timely manner
  • Provide an efficient and immaculate room cleaning service to ensure bedrooms are ready for guest’s check‐in times
  • Assist with maintaining and organising the Housekeeping store rooms, stock rotation and linen trolleys
  • Report any equipment malfunction, breakages, hazards, accidents, maintenance concerns to an appropriate manager
  • Assist with the delivery and checking the quality of linen to your trolley, ensuring the reject procedure is adhered to
  • Service all rooms to the required standard, prioritising arrivals, special requirements and guest requests

  • Communicate openly with all colleagues across the hotel to promote a culture of openness, honesty and trust
  • Actively participate in job chats, performance reviews and your individual development plan, working towards agreed objectives within set timeframes.
  • Participate in company incentives, reward and recognition schemes
  • Attend, actively participate and complete all company training as requested
  • Attend and contribute to pre‐shift briefs / debriefs and team meetings7
  • Attend shift as per the rota and be ready to commence work within the department at scheduled times
  • Ensure adherence to all operating procedures, rules and policies within the Hotel including key handling, stock control, lost property, data protection and confidentiality Complete accurate stock counts when required in line with Company procedures
  • Treat all stock items, hotel property and working tools with respect and report any defaults to management
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and security within the Hotel and report areas of concern to appropriate manager
  • Adhere to Company Personal Presentation Standards, uniform standards and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment always

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed the jobholder is required to perform other duties across the Hotel operation as may be assigned by management from time to time.

09:00 -15:00 Thursday – Monday

Pay Rates

£9.10 per hour
